The Truman show

In case I don’t see you, Good afternoon, Good morning and Goodnight”. Think cameras following you everywhere you go but not knowing they’re there, and everyone you thought was true were just actors. The Truman Show depicts several interesting areas of the video production through different camera shots, my opinion on the movie and my opinion on how the movie ended.

In the movie The Truman Show there are different types of camera shots, such as unique shots and angles, the camera movement and how the cameras impact me as a viewer. One thing that is very unique are the different places that have the camera and how the camera is so small that he has no idea they are even there. A place that I thought it was creative to have was in the dashboard of his car you could see everything he was doing and everything he was saying. I also thought a creative to have a camera in his mirror so you could see everything that he was doing and everything he says to himself when he looks into the mirror. There were also a bunch of cameras in the clothing of people he was every day. The camera movement in the movie is very smooth. The movement of the cameras made the movie and his life seem so real. It was very unique and smart to put cameras all around the town he was living in because then the viewers of the show could see his every move. Another place that the camera where you could see it was in a garbage can and during the movie you can see just the lends of the camera and not the whole thing. Me as a viewer I think that the cameras hidden everywhere was a good idea so that you could see what he was doing every part of his day. I was very surprised as how smooth the camera moving was when he was walking and you could hear everything he was say clearly. The camera shots in the movie and the camera placement makes the movie realistic and very interesting.

There are many reasons why someone like me or you would like the movie The Truman Show. The reason I liked this movie was because Truman himself was as real as you could get on a reality T.V show. I feel like if he were to know that he were on a television show he would have acted totally different and that wouldn’t be as fun to watch even though all there is on T.V are people getting paid to be on the show. I also liked it because it was really funny. At first I heard the movie was very boring and further into the movie I watched I started to like it more and more. There were a couple parts in the movie that I really enjoyed watching and I thought was funny. One of the parts that I really enjoyed watching is was when he was in his car listening to the radio and there was a loud scratchy and he heard the producers telling the actors where he was and when there was a loud noise everyone stopped and he saw it. Another part in the movie that I liked was when he went he was sitting in the car and when his wife Meryl comes home from work and gets into the car and he tells her he wants to go to Fiji, and they start driving and once they are almost at the stop sign there are all of a sudden a lot of cars that came from nowhere and there’s traffic. I really like that part because it kind of shows that he was being set up because every time he tries to leave something is there to stop him. Another part that caught my attention was when he walked/ snuck into the building and tried going into the elevator and when it opened it was the set of the T.V show. I really enjoyed seeing him get away finally also because he finally got away without anyone knowing what made me mad was when Chirstof was talking to him and trying to make him stay on the show. The actors in the movie were also amazing to watch. I am very surprised that they could stay in their characters the whole time and one didn’t even spill out and say anything or even gave him any hint of him even being a T.V. show. I think it’s wrong that all the actors got paid to pretend to be his friend/ mom and dad and wife but he didn’t get paid anything for being the star of the show. I only wish they would of ended the movie a little better.

If I were to write a sequel I would tell you about Truman and Sylvia, what happened to the viewers and how Truman carries on to have a normal life. In the sequel I would want Truman and Sylvia to meet right when he walks through the door and they get together and they fall madly in love with each other.  They end up living a very happy life together and later on in their life they have a child. The viewers of The Truman Show carry on with their lives and whenever they see him they comfort him in a nice and some people are still really fake to him. They are all happy the Truman didn’t die in the storm and they all find another reality T.V show to watch. Truman finds a job and ends up getting money for being the star of his show and marries Sylvia. He also tries to find his mom and dad and reconnect with both of them.

The Truman Show depicts several interesting areas of the video production through different camera shots, my opinion on the movie and my opinion on how the movie ended. “If I never see you again good afternoon, good evening and good night” that quote is basically what he would have said all the time at those times if he knew he was on T.V. What if you were living a life full of cameras and everyone watching you and knowing what you did, this could be happening right now without you even knowing

First thing to do is to zoom in and focus, Focus on the persons noise first

• What's the difference between SP/EP? SP= Standard play on tape EP=Extended Play(allow you to record more at a lower quality)

9:00-9:02 A guy in Lake Elmo was killed by a guy that has meet on craigslist. He has a wife 4 children, his family come together to remember him at the spot he was killed.

9:02-9:03 2 boys that were missing were found at a hotel. There father had taken them there and later that day he was put in jail for braking a restraining order. 

9:07-9:09 Minneapolis  is going to cut back on some of there service business's. 

9:14-9:16 Police in Duluth fired at a young boy after the boy wouldn't put down the bat he was hitting the cop car with, the boy was killed and the police dept. saids thats what they are trained to do and the police officer will be going back to work.

9:24-9:25 A little boy in turkey was found just sitting on the side of the street alone. When they asked his mother how he got there she said that she left him sleeping under the tree and didn't see that he woke up and walked into the street.

9:23-9:29 A deadly fire kills a mother,child and a firefighter, The mother and the child tried climbing into a tub of water to try and get away from the fire but that did not work, that was the 4th fire that building has had.
