Camera Shots and Techniques

INTERVIEWING:
• What seven items should you bring with you when you are shooting an interview?
(Clocks Tick Tock Making Heads Pound Loudly)
Camera (Mini DV Camera or VHS Camera)
Tape (Mini DV Tape, Hard drive/DVD or VHS Tape)
Tripod(No Tripod=Bad, Techniques)
Microphone(Dont give interviewer Microphone, Microphone should be a hang loose sym. away)
Headphones(To make sure that mic. is working)
Power Source(AC Adaptor or Battery)
Lights(Camera lights, Floor lights, Natural lighting)

• Shooting into a light source= Silhouette

First thing to do is to zoom in and focus, Focus on the persons noise first

• No tripod= BAD


• Date and Time=This is Permanently recorded on your tape(Make sure you turn it off)

• What's the difference between SP/EP? SP= Standard play on tape EP=Extended Play(allow you to record more at a lower quality)
• Camera shoots in: SP(Standard play)

• Pre-Roll- 2-3 Seconds before you start and after you start interviewing
